Ongoing project

I am interested in the hidden infrastructure of buildings — the pipes, drains and systems that usually remain invisible behind walls. In these paintings I translate this infrastructure into the language of the human body: pipes become veins, drains resemble intestines, and the technical systems of a house begin to resemble living organs.

I am developing the work towards a large-scale installation in which the painted structures escape the frame and continue into the architecture of the space. The boundaries between body, building and infrastructure gradually become blurred, creating an imagined living system within the architecture.

Imago — 2026, 13×15 cm, Berlin. A butterfly with poems written by Ukrainian soldiers on its wings. With broken limbs, it serves as a metaphor for transformation and a reminder that change is often accompanied by loss.
